Dear members and friends of the Chamber,
This is an interesting activity after the holidays break. On October, 17th it is going to take place a seminar co-organized with the Embassy in order to seize the opportunity of the CORFO (the Chilean Economic Development Corporation) visit to Belgium, about issues related to Innovation and Research and to the perspectives of cooperation between Belgian, Luxembourgish and Chilean firms and institutions.
This aspect is of importance in the preparation of the Santiago Summit for identifying concrete means for bringing a Luxembourgish answer to the purpose of building strategic alliances between Latin American and European firms.
I hope to see you for this important event.

Over the course of two days, more than 300 executives from Chile, broader Latin America and the international fund industry will come together to exchange ideas and engage one-on-one to address pressing issues and explore opportunities in today’s turbulent markets.
This investor-focused event provides a due diligence platform for the leaders of Chile’s large and sophisticated pension system (the second largest in Latin America), the managers of Chile’s ever-increasing private wealth reserves and the leaders of Chile’s robust private business sector to explore innovative approaches to wealth and asset management, investment strategy and to discuss opportunities for growth in the near future

Annual rendez-vous: Just weeks after celebrating his 30th birthday, Crown Prince Guillaume was the guest of honour at the annual gala dinner organised by the ten international chambers of business in Luxembourg. The event at the Nouveau Centre de Conferences in Kirchberg attracted 380 guests.
Robert Deed, chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg introduced the Crown Prince, recognising his contribution to helping promote Luxembourg abroad on various trade missions.
The Crown Prince for his part acknowledged the importance of Luxembourg’s international business community as a driving force of the economy, citing the international roots of companies such as Cargolux and SES--founded with Icelandic and American expertise--and the innovation and influential global reach that foreigners bring to the Grand Duchy. But he also emphasized the openness of Luxembourg and of the government in welcoming business from abroad.
Director of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, Pierre Gramegna, delivered a speech of thanks in which he praised the work of Crown Prince and of the volunteers and staff of the international chambers in building bridges between the Luxembourg and international business community.
